Doesn’t it feel good to have college football back? What a weekend it was, too – you had UCLA pulling off a miracle comeback, that West Virginia-Virginia Tech game was everything that college football should be, we watched a double overtime showdown between Georgia Tech and Tennessee, and I’m sure I’m forgetting a ton of highlights. So, to celebrate this American institution, I say we look at back one of the finest college football press conferences of all time, Mike Gundy’s “I’m a man! I’m 40!” rant:
“IT IS GARBAGE! AND THE EDITOR THAT LET IT COME OUT…..IS GARBAGE!”
Honestly, that could’ve been about this web site and I wouldn’t disagree. But, this web site didn’t exist at the time of this press conference. I don’t even remember what that article was about, but man did it piss off the Oklahoma State head coach. This remains one of the all time great football press conferences, and Coach Gundy has gone on to rock one of the all time great mullets:
Just glorious.
Lesson learned here, folks: don’t write about kid that does all the right things.
