There Are Probably Better Ideas Than Shooting Fireworks in the Street

As a dude who grew up in the country, I’ve always wondered how people in cities or large neighborhood appropriately celebrate grand occasions like 4th of July, New Year’s Eve, graduating high school, getting the last slice of pizza, or backyard wrestling shows (all fit reasons to shoot fireworks). Well, as it turns out, apparently those people just shoot their fireworks in the fucking streets:

Well that’s one way to die

Not sure if this is indicative of all neighborhoods or not, but it’s definitely evidence. As for the people in the video, I’ve felt this sort of panic before. This is probably the most natural reaction when something like this happens. The shell gets caught in the tube and doesn’t quite come out right…or your boy just foregoes the tube and throws the shell at the back porch. Whatever the reason, screaming “OH LORD” is perfectly fine.

So, you won’t hear me judging these folks for that. One, I just thought this was funny, as I’ve been in this situation before. Second, I think it’s a good opportunity for a PSA: if you’re going to shoot fireworks in the middle of the street, maybe don’t get the fucking mortar shells….maybe something smaller, like a Roman candle, would suffice just fine. Then again, who am I to judge? I don’t know what I’m doing here.
