HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….HAHAHAHA….OHIO STATE…HAHAHA….LOST…HAHAHAA….TO IOWA…..HAHAHAHAHA

TO. IOWA.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww, that felt good. Where was I? Oh yeah….

Hey guys!

Ten weeks in folks, and the season continues to slip away. Fortunately, we’re hitting gut-check time for the SEC. There are still three teams with a path to the playoff, and those three play each other in the next four weeks. Outside of those three, we have a handful of teams playing for bowl eligibility, and a few just hoping the season ends fast. Let’s see how the rankings look, shall we?

1. Georgia – I almost put the Bulldogs back at #2 after a bit of a lackluster performance against the Gamecocks, but they get to stay. I still believe they might be the strongest team in the country, and they’ve already stamped their ticket to Atlanta. The biggest test comes this weekend, when they travel to Auburn.

2. Alabama – Make it seven in a row for the Tide against LSU. A win over the 19th rank is nice, but it came at a cost. The Tide LB group took another hit, losing two solid contributors. Standout Minkah Fitzpatrick was hobbled by a hamstring injury. Even the best teams can fall victim to the injury bug. Alabama heads to Starkville on Saturday.

3. Auburn – The Tigers continue to trend up. After dominating A&M, Auburn has two major games in the next three weeks. Here’s something crazy: Gus Malzahn is still considered to be on the hot seat. And the Tigers aren’t just looking to play spoiler here, they want a seat at the table for the playoff. Taking down Georgia and Alabama is the only way. They welcome Georgia this weekend.

4. LSU – It’s hard to blame LSU for losing to Alabama (you know, since everyone else has this season). They did, however, show the country that it’s possible to stop the mighty Tide run game. With a very favorable three game run to end the season, it is very possible to see a 9-win LSU squad heading to a bowl game.

5. Mississippi State – SERIOUSLY? I asked you politely to choose an identity, and you decide to have a struggle win against UMass? The Bulldogs can play with just about anyone, but only when they choose to. They’ll need their best this weekend when Alabama comes to town.

6. South Carolina – The Gamecocks gave Georgia their toughest SEC game thus far, which bodes well for the future of Will Muschamp. At 6-3, South Carolina only has Florida left in conference play, and should end up an 8-win team and second in the East. Not too shabby for a season with low expectations. They host the Gators this weekend.

7. Texas A&M – Losing to Auburn was predictable for the Aggies. It’s been an up and down season, and it looks like the writing is on the wall for Kevin Sumlin. A&M will gain bowl eligibility this weekend, but that’s about the pinnacle of the season for the Aggies. They host New Mexico.

8. Kentucky – I still maintain the Wildcats aren’t a great team, and the luck ran out against Ole Miss. Kentucky lost a close one, but they already won their bowl eligibility, so they’re just playing with house money now. They head to Vanderbilt this weekend.

9. Missouri – Missouri! Three in a row! Look at you, winning games and such. Honestly, I’m really pulling for the Tigers to come back and steal a bowl game this season. Drew Lock is flinging that pigskin all over the field, and the schedule sets up nicely for the Tigers to finish strong. They welcome a struggling Tennessee.

10. Ole Miss – Even with a new starting quarterback in Jordan Ta’amu (solid name) after losing Shea Patterson for the season, the Land Shark Rebels stole a win from Kentucky. Granted, this season is a bit of wash with everything that’s happened in the preseason, but hats off to Ole Miss for continuing to battle. They host Louisiana (the Ragin Cajun kind).

11. Vanderbilt – A win over Western Kentucky was impressive and much needed for the Commodores. It stopped the skid Vandy has been on, and should provide some momentum when they host Kentucky this weekend. A bowl game is not out of the question here Commodore fans.

12. Tennessee – That was the most needed win in program history, but it won’t save Butch Jones from the chopping block. Seriously, why is he still coaching?

13. Arkansas – Coastal Carolina? If Florida wasn’t a dumpster fire, you’d be in the basement.

14. Florida – You and Arkansas might get kicked out of the SEC. I’ll confer with Big Natural about it (Editor’s note: Yeah, I’m cool with it).
