Honest Amish – Original Beard Wax
I’m starting this list with the thickest option I keep in my cabinet, Honest Amish’s all natural beard wax. This product comes in a small box, which allows more space to list their ingredients, directions for use, and general facts/tips.
My favorite tidbit they provide is “It’s a scientific fact that you look better with facial hair.” Of course, we all know this to be true.
As previously stated, this is much thicker than any other product on this list, and may not be suitable for short stubble. I’m rockin’ about a 5-inch beard at the moment, and the thickness of this wax really allows me to keep the hair around my cheeks/sideburns tamed down, as well as keeping the length below my chin in shape throughout a busy day.
I highly recommend this for anyone serious about growing their beard and looking for a low-scented, heavy tamer.

Grave Before Shave Co – Cigar Blend Beard Balm
I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for label art. Whether it’s beer, music, or beard products, if someone has an awesome logo, I’m buying it. Thankfully, the folks at Grave Before Shave Co have a great design…and a great product!
When I was browsing for some new product recently, I came across their Cigar Blend Balm and noticed it had a vanilla scent advertised. I figured Mrs. P would appreciate that pleasant smell covering up the usual scent of whiskey and trapped chicken-wing sauce permeating from my beard, so I gave it a shot.
Not disappointed one bit, and neither was the ol’ lady. The scent is prominent, but not too loud.
Coming in just a little softer than the Honest Amish wax, this is my normal go-to for a casual day of work or errand running. I know I can count on it to keep my beard held nice and tight, while maintaining a soft and healthy shine.

Beard Guyz – Beard Balm 25
I received this balm as a gift earlier this year, and it was this fateful exchange that made me fall in love with an awesome balm. I use several different products depending on the occasion, weather, and length of my beard, but this has been the most used item in my cabinet by far.
This balm works great for my beard’s texture and length. It smells good. And it lasts for quite a while.
The balm is easy to heat up with your fingers in the canister, and a small application is all you need for a good shine and medium hold.

Mountaineer Brand – Magic Beard Balm
My wife picked up this balm for me as she liked the smell, and wanted me to try it out. It is by far the softest option in this list, and works great for a short length beard or even just a little stubble.
It has a subtle, citrus scent to it, and provides a nice glossy-shine throughout the day. The best part of this balm is that its soft nature allows for a quick application, so there’s no need to rub it around for too long just to get it heated. Simply give it a slight rub, scoop, and apply for desired satisfaction!
