I can speak for several people in our esteemed nation when I say that I have indeed been a drunk man before. It’s hard. Sometimes, you don’t really know where you are or how you’re going to get home. In some cases, you don’t even know how you’re going to stand up.
Well, today, folks – I have an inspiring tale of hope and courage to share with you all. See, where many of us would have given up, the man you’re about to watch elected to trek on. He did not care that he was too drunk to even stand up straight. There was a goal he needed to attain, and he gave it his best effort. We could all learn a thing or two about grit and determination from him:
Just solid, A+ grit and determination from this fella. Gotta admire the commitment.
Was anyone else actively rooting him on? “C’mon Steve – you got this. You got it, buddy! One foot in front of the other!” Or, was that just me? I mean, he’s a real hero.
It’s just a shame that it ended with him taking out an entire end cap’s worth of shampoo. You can see the moment when his body gave out on his will. It was as if his soul just left his body completely, and he landed with a thud. Because that’s what it took to stop him. It took unconsciousness. It took him literally passing out.
I hope he made it out of this okay, but something about his moxie tells me he’s just fine.
Also, shout out to the frightened employees who were just standing around watching him, terrified. You guys could’ve stepped in to help, but you didn’t. Shame on you. Everyone knows that the best thing to do when you see a man drunk into another dimension is to approach him and grab him.
I hope this man waved at the haters on the way down.
