The Best Movie Spots of Super Bowl LII

The hype surrounding the Super Bowl is always unbelievably high. And right below the game are the commercials. So, as a part of those, the rumblings and rumors of which movies will wow us with their trailers during the big game start a swirling.

Well now we know for sure, and some of them did not disappoint. With that being said, the new Avengers: Infinity War didn’t impress me. The glare from Thanos was cool at the end, but we mainly just saw Avengers staring or running around. Nothing new or revealing. Also, if Tide did a movie starring David Harbour, I would see that a thousand times over.

These movie spots got my juices flowing and spent their money very wisely.

SKYSCRAPER:

Dwayne Johnson knows how to do action. We know that. And while his new one looks a lot like San Andreas, another one of his big-budget destruction movies, you can’t ignore his badass presence. If you’re afraid of heights, this may make your legs shake, and our Hulked up hero has one hell of a jump to make…with a fake leg!

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE — FALLOUT

Speaking of action heroes—Tom Cruise can’t stop and won’t stop. Why do they keep making these? Because we keep coming back for more. From this trailer, this latest installment is planning on outdoing itself once more. Every mission is packed with twists, action, and mind-blowing stunts, and there’s no slowing down this crew.

THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX

Surprise! J.J. Abrams is full of tricks and unleashing the next Cloverfield out of nowhere puts the interest in overdrive. The trilogy is now complete with this shocking new peek in to an origin story. The cast is impressive, the story is full of mystery, and the Alien vibe its putting out is intense. There’s only one way to know for sure and that’s to see it, which you can right now on Netflix!

A QUIET PLACE

The first trailer I saw of this had pieces of being a great horror film. Sometimes silence is the scariest thing of all and trying not to make a sound is damn difficult. Even if it could cause creatures to hunt you down and kill you and your entire family. The intrigue and horror continues in compelling fashion with this most recent spot. Showing more than before, it still refuses to reveal what you want to see most. Just like last year’s It Comes At Night, the less you know, the better.
