BIG TIME NEWS guys. I’m hoping to catch those of you who might be planning a wedding ceremony before you go through with armed robbery attempt. Apparently, it is AGAINST THE LAW….please read that part carefully…AGAINST THE LAW….to rob a bank, even if you’re attempting to pay for your wedding.
A Texas man has been arrested after his fiancée saw a social media post of him robbing a bank the day before his wedding so he could pay for the ring and the venue of his ceremony.
Aw, Heath – my man! Dire straits, no doubt. But, as it turns out, having a good excuse for robbing a bank does not actually excuse you from robbing a bank.
It sounds like he went about this in the right manner, though. I mean, he told ’em up front that he was having to pay for a super expensive ass wedding and a wedding ring (those things are NOT cheap, in case you didn’t know). Just gotta be transparent in that situation, and maybe they give you the money. If they give you the money without an outright threat, I don’t think it’s considered robbery, but I’m no legal expert, so I’ll acknowledge the possibility that I could be wrong here.
I gotta say, though. Any fiancee that’s going to tell you to turn yourself in definitely sounds like a cop caller and the exact opposite of “ride or die.” I don’t want to throw too much criticism her way because it is the day before you’re wedding. I’m sure everyone is a little stressed out and maybe she wasn’t acting like herself….feels like this had all the makings of the beginning of an epic Bonnie & Clyde type run for these two. Instead, our guy Heath turned himself in, acknowledging that he done fucked up, and the rest is history.
This has to be the most wholesome armed robbery story ever though, right? I bet his wife wasn’t even really mad about it. It’s just one of those things you “awwww” at and everyone hugs in a forgiving embrace.
