A staple of classic rock radio is the Two For Tuesday format. Every Tuesday when I was growing up, some raspy-voiced AM D.J. would come on the air and play back-to-back songs from the best rock groups. If it was a band like The Rolling Stones or the Beatles being played you would hear consecutive hits from each where if it was a newer band with less of a discography you were more than likely to get a hit followed by a deep track.
My favorite was when I’d get to hear the deep tracks of The Doors and Alice Cooper. I would get excited any time I’d hear Jim Morrison singing “Alabama Song” or Alice Cooper singing “Return of the Spiders.”
Today’s playlist gives you a double shot of some of the best bands and artists of classic rock. What’s better than one ZZ Top song? That’s right, two. Two for Tuesday might not be as prevalent as it once was but Vol. 24 of the SoBros Quarantine Jams has you covered.
