Let's take a deeper dive into Megan Thee Stallion's hit song.

25 year old Pearland, TX native Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, better known by her name in artistry, Megan Thee Stallion, has become a pioneer of the written word in the year 2020. In addition to being literally shot,  she’s also reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 twice (one of those instances being for her work on WAP, which I’ve power ranked the lyrics to on Patreon here). Now that she’s become one of the most well known wordsmiths in America, I thought I would take this opportunity to review one of her hit songs, “Cash Shit.”

A Scholarly Exposition of Cash Shit

Real hot girl shit” – Right off the bat, the message is clear, which is a critical component to effective communication. We’re establishing the message of this song early. We are in for a tale of behavior indicative of the dominating nature of the ‘hot girl.’ That is to say that hot girls can relate to this song, specifically, a boss ass bitch. If you are a boss ass bitch and/or a hot girl, this is your anthem.

“He say he hungry, this pussy the kitchen” – This line indicates the great business mind that Megan has. How? Because she differentiates between a single meal and the kitchen. I think most minds, the average person’s mind, probably would’ve called this pussy ‘dinner’ or something. But, Megan thinks in business terms. If this pussy the kitchen, that means that whoever is hungry can come in and make whatever they want to eat, day or night, 24/7. She’s not limiting herself to only getting her pussy eaten at dinner. The kitchen’s open all the time.

Then, we have the chorus:

I can’t be fucked with, no
Ho you can’t touch this, ay
Bitch, I do rich shit, huh
My money thick thick, ay
Walk with a limp, limp, huh
I’m on some pimp shit, ay
He say, “You all about money, ” yeah
I’m on that cash shit, huh
I’m in my bag, bitch, huh
I’m on your ass, bitch, huh
I’m in that new new shit
You on that last year, huh
Bitch, I do pimp shit, huh
Ho, you on simp shit, ay
He say, “You all about money, ” yeah
I’m on that cash shit, ah

Just a very empowering message in here – can’t be fucked with, can’t be touched, I am a luxurious rich bitch, and all of you are losers. Very positive.

Then, she brings in DaBaby for his own verse.

“I be fixin’ the weave while she suckin’ my dick, pull it out, then I titty fuck (uh, uh)” – What a considerate men. Most men would be thinking about nothin’ but nuttin’ in this situation, but he’s so thoughtful that he’s willing to fix this hoe’s weave. Who said chivalry is dead?

“And whenever we fuck, she be fuckin’ me back” – Another blessed statement of Megan’s ability to claim authority in a male-dominated world. Even when they fuckin’, she’s gonna get her’s.

We’re back to Megan for the last verse.

“I don’t be trusting these tricks ’cause they tricky, send him a pic of somebody else titties” – This some serious ‘Art of War’ shit. For real – has Megan Thee Stallion been reading The Art of War? One last reminder that you cannot fool this woman. Real hot girl shit.

All in all, “Cash Shit” puts Megan’s smart business mind and female empowerment message on full display, while showing the world that true gentlemen do still exist in the world. There is nothing negative about this song. No wonder she has been lauded as 2020’s Walt Whitman with this quality of poetry.
