Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com.

Question:

Answer:

Getting away to the Smoky Mountains (Gatlinburg) for a few days, and then since I have a ton of vacation time to burn since wrestling and film festival trips were canceled all throughout 2020, I decided to just take a bit of a stay-cation for the holiday.

I’ve been feeling pretty burnt out in general over the last couple of months, so I’m looking forward to just catching my breath and resting for a bit.

Question, from Tyler on Facebook:

If I ask a question on both Facebook and Twitter will they both get answered?

Answer:

Yes.

Question:

Answer:

They have to, right? To what creature does the croak of a cricket actually sound pleasing?

More importantly, who makes noise for crickets when they tell jokes that no one finds funny?

Question:

Answer:

I have a couple, but either one is sure to work (at least for me). I go to Jersey Mike’s and get a GIANT #43 – it’s their cheesesteak. Add some jalapenos to it and we’re set. I mean, sure – it’s like 5000 fucking calories….but nothing hits quite like it when you’re struggling to recover.

#2 – gimme a big heaping plate of some spicy pad thai – get it with steak AND chicken and hell yeah, we’re back in the saddle again my man.

Question:

Answer:

I’ve already told Brandon (I’m going up there with our resident film critic and his wife) that if we do nothing else, this is it. We HAVE to find the original lincoln log house. My plan is just to wander out into the woods and trust my instincts to find it.

For those that don’t get the joke, check out our episode of Phone It In on Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Listen to “Ep. 14: The History of Gatlinburg, TN” on Spreaker.

Question, from Aunt Phyllis on Facebook:

When will I get to see my nephew?

Answer:

Damn, y’all – Aunt Phyllis is even coming after me. But, I try to tell y’all all the time what a terrible friend and family member I am because all I ever do is work. My aunt has to come to the SoBros Mailbag just to ask when she’s going to see me again. If that’s not reality biting me in the ass, I don’t know what is.

SMDH, I have to do better, guys. Aunt Phyllis, let me talk to mama and see if we can’t figure out a time and safe way to visit during the holidays.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
