Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com.
Question, from Shawn in Omaha:
When will you be releasing the extra super Super Bowl Drinking Game?
Answer:
It’s live, pal. Y’all get lit (safely, of course).
Question:
Fav cozy outfit?
Answer:
Oh hell yeah – give me some sturdy, comfy sweatpants, a baggy t-shirt, a hoodie, and some thicc socks. I’m not on board with the fuzzy socks, but I want ’em a little thicc….a grade sturdier than your average athletic sock. I still need pockets in my sweats, though – otherwise, I’m going to be anxious about where my phone is and won’t be able to get comfy. Give me my recliner, and a good soft blanket and it’s ball game. Relaxation station!
Question:
What band/artist would you like to see play the SB halftime show?
— Steven McCash (@MC_Cash75) February 4, 2021
Fave/worst SB halftime show?
Answer:
Believe it or not, I am SUPER stoked about The Weeknd. That would probably be my answer if he wasn’t performing on Sunday. So, let’s take him out of the equation….I go Jack Harlow.
My favorite Super Bowl halftime shows – I liked Bruce Springsteen and Bruno Mars, but the only one I ever really remember watching and going “holy shit that fucked” was Prince. That one RULED. Also, I have to admit that as a teenage boy, any time you get tiddies on the screen, you are super stoked, so I was a big fan of the halftime show the year we got to see Janet Jackson’s boob.
As far as the worst Super Bowl halftime show, I’m going to go with the The Who. I honestly remember nothing about that halftime show and I could not give a shit less about that band.
Question:
How did it feel to be the one asking the questions this week?
— Lady May Queen (@brittbutspooky) February 4, 2021
Answer:
It was an absolute dream come true, and it was one of those rare moments in life when you feel like you’ve really found your calling. To be “in rooms” with some of the best people in the world at what they do, football and writing alike, was an incredibly humbling feeling and it reminded me of the reasons I started SoBros Network in the first place.
I’m sure regular SoBros readers are wondering where the hell all the fun content has been this week, and I promise we’ll get back to it, but I felt compelled to make the most out of this opportunity and get everything done that I possibly could. I wanted to be proud of myself and how far SoBros Network has come by the end of the week, and I feel like I’ve done just that.
This SoBros team is the embodiment of “to the moon,” and my heart is full, feeling like this was a week that all of us celebrated together. SoBros over everything.
Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
