Hallelujah. Amen. Where’s the Tylenol? This can’t be real life – this can’t be true. My heart is so quite literally swooning over the news that broke yesterday that the fabled convenience store based out of Philadelphia, Wawa, would be calling Nashville home in due time. Set your timers – we only have to wait for three more years. We still don’t know where exactly it’s going to go…just that it’ll be somewhere around here.

Wawa plans to open its first Nashville location in 2025, announced a press release. Moving forward, the convenience retail chain employing over 35,000 associates, sees the possibility of up to 40 locations in the Music City area.
This is a huge win for Nashville. I don’t know if y’all know that or not. I don’t know who here has actually experienced the glory that is Wawa and who hasn’t, but if you’re a fat piece of shit like me, this is going to change your lives once it opens. It’s a day worth celebrating if you’re a fan of coffees and hoagies. Wawa has one of the best pumpkin coffees I’ve ever had. I got a hoagie that just had buffalo chicken tenders on it once. On my most recent stop, I had an Old Bay cheesesteak. Are you fucking kidding me? Is this real life? Yes. Yes it is, and Nashville, it all could be ours in just three years’ time. I can’t wait.
All due respect to Sheetz, but I’ve never been to one. I can’t weigh in on the great Sheetz-Wawa debate, but I will say this – I am ride or die Wawa. If there was one in Tennessee right now, I’d already be 500 pounds. Now, I have something to look forward to. Get the forklift ready for me – y’all are going to have to get me around town somehow after this opens.
PS. In the intro paragraph, that was a nice of way of me saying that I want to fuck Wawa. I might get int trouble for writing that, but I’ve been drinking so blame it on the gin. Thank you all for your time this morning.
