Yeah, just let that headline sink in for a second. It’s real. I promise. That’s a question that is out there, and it might not be one of the most popular conspiracy theories, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. When you start diving into some of the weird occurrences that have happened within the national park system in the United States, you’re bound to come across this one if you look deeply enough.
Since it’s still the summer time, and we haven’t given way to PSL season just quite yet, Rooster and I thought we’d dive into this tale as a fun way to send off the summer episodes. The summer road trip to a big national park is what the family vacation was invented for, after all! In that spirit, we talk about Teddy Roosevelt and the man that he was, we relive an incredibly intense encounter that Roosevelt (allegedly) heard from an old trapper, and how that story, after shaking him to his core, might’ve impacted his decision to expand the national park system within our country. It’s a wild story, for sure, but if you check out the episode, you’ll find that this one might not be as far-fetched as some of the other crazy theories we’ve dissected on Phone It In. This one was a ton of fun.
