“Best of 2022” Week rolls on here on SoBros Network – we’ve looked at keywords, we’ve looked at videos, and tomorrow, we’ll look at podcasts. But, today, we’re focusing on the written word (so to speak – I guess it would technically be the “typed” word, huh?). I’ll be counting down our 10 most-read evergreen articles of 2022 (or else all 10 spots would just be dumb drinking games). These are the numbers just straight up as they are from Google Analytics, and they’re pieces that you can enjoy today just the same as you could the day they were published! Let’s dig in.
The Top 10 SoBros Articles of 2022
10. “The Top 100 Yankee Candle Fragrances” by me – link – A hundred candles? You bet. It only makes sense that I wrote 7,795 words about Yankee Candle, and the internet ate it up. I should just stop doing everything else here at SoBros Network and focus solely on Yankee Candle Reviews.
9. “An Appreciation For Nick Westbrook-Ikhine” by me – link – Titans fans run hot and cold with NWI, but when he’s working within what he excels at, he’s a valuable addition to this roster. I just thought we should take a moment to appreciate that.
8. “Nashville Canoe And Kayak Spots: Our Top 3 River Recommendations” by Ryan Yearwood – link – It’s awesome to see people reading something when you’ve obviously put some thought and hard work into it. I hope people legit made plans off of Ryan’s post here, and to think that we just might be influencing some good vibes and good times with the work we do….well, that’s something that I’m proud of, and I hope Ryan is too.
7. “Senior Bowl: Trevor Penning Is Destined To Headline WrestleMania” by Steven McCash – link – Man, everyone was talking about Trevor Penning after the Senior Bowl. Scouts and analysts had been drooling over the guy, and his menacing demeanor was the talk of Mobile. McCash wrote a fun little piece about that and how he’d be a natural fit inside the confines of the WWE.
6. “Best Movies of 2021” by Brandon Vick – link – Brandon’s year end lists always do numbers for us, so it’s no surprise to see 2021’s installment from back in January get some real traction and end up here.
5. “Mount Westmore Tour Brings Four Rap Legends To Nashville” by Steven McCash – link – One thing we know about Steven McCash is that he can have a damn good time at a concert, and he can write a damn good piece about that good time to boot. People were interested in this one from the jump, and it had a great run back in the spring.
4. “A Prospect Like Calvin Austin III Is Just What This Titans Offense Is Missing” by me – link – Pair this fan base’s burning desire for an electric wide receiver with a prospect as dynamic as Calvin Austin III, and it’s easy to see why this one was such a hit. I think this made the rounds on Titans Facebook if memory serves correctly.
3. “The Top 25 Quarterbacks Of The 2000s (So Far)” by me – link – Not really a surprise here. This about as clickbait-y as we’ll get here on SoBros Network. Genuine rankings framed with SEO and a solid Google-able title. Every now and then, we find something like this that we can write to get clicks while doing so in our signature SoBros voice.
2. “Okay, Can We Talk About That Explosion In Mount Juliet, Though?” by me – link – This was legitimately scary to experience, and I still don’t really know what happened, and I don’t think authorities ever really figured it out. If they did, they didn’t report it. That can mean only one thing – the aliens are now among us.
1. “Someone Needs To Ask Demone Harris Why He’s Pullin’ Pants Down” by me – link – I think this may be the latest in the year that an article has ever come in and won the top spot on this list. But, I guess no one can resist seeing Nicholas Petit-Frere’s bare cheeks in a football game.
