I don’t know if you guys know this or not, but the Appalachian Mountains are really fucking old. Like, we’re talking way older than the dinosaurs. So old that we’re talking about the mountains being around at the same time as the first tree on Earth. Wild times, I know – but that’s exactly what Rooster and I are here to talk about on the latest episode of Phone It In.

If you ask me, this is probably one of the more in-depth episodes of this show that we’ve done. It’s a well-rounded multi-faceted view of this topic. We start off with a geology lesson as Rooster tells us how the mountains were formed. All I contribute to the conversation is asking whether or not you’d take a time machine back to ancient Earth before you’d take a time machine back to peak Dodge City, Kansas. I digress. We talk about the history of this mountain range, the people who have populated the area, and the hodgepodge of culture that has permeated throughout the region because of that.

Of course, it’s an episode of Phone It In, so we have to dig into some of the weird and spooky shit that surrounds the Appalachian Mountains. We’re talkin’ everything from your run of the mill cryptid talk to some otherworldly ley line talk. This episode, like many, is a doozy.
