Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, we’re talking about what has been called the “perfect bridge candle between Christmas and springtime” by me, Winter Night Stars.
This is such an awkward time of the year for those of you who keep a candle calendar like me. I know most people just keep the Christmas vibes going into spring, but I like a little differentiation. I want my Christmas scents to remind me of Christmas, not the onslaught of seasonal depression that usually hits in January. Plus, I don’t want to be smelling Home for the Holidays when I’m already sad that the holidays are over. But, I also can’t be sittin’ here burning Garden Sweet Pea when it’s 15 degrees outside! It’s quite the dilemma.
Luckily, I’ve managed to hodgepodge a few “winter candles” together for this time of year, headlined by Hot Buttered Rum and Balsam & Clove. And, folks – we’re adding Winter Night Stars to the rotation so fret not…we’ve got a nice little slate of candles going now to get us through. Crisis averted. What I love about Winter Night Stars is that you get this fresh outdoor scent, like taking a stroll through the forest on a cold winter’s night, but there’s the subtlest hint of rose in that serves as a reminder that the warmer months are ahead. It’s the perfect bridge candle, a good fragrance that solves a real problem.
Recommended Burning: The gentle cold of a January night kisses the hair on your bare chest as you peer out the window. Light fluffy snow cascades the backyard. You cozy up around your cup of tea. Oops a little trickled into your beard. The wind howls as you dry your face and sit by the fire in your coziest of jam jams.
