Well, the Frogman has popped up in the public vernacular because apparently there’s some new found footage horror flick out there that is either good or bad depending on how you look at it. I don’t know. That doesn’t sound like something that would interest me. What does interest me is the folklorish story behind the Frogman of Loveland, Ohio.
This one’s not nearly as creepy as other cryptid stories we’ve dug into on Phone It In, but in a way, that makes this one a little more fun and lighthearted. First of all, Loveland seems like a magical place – it has a castle, and that alone, even before we get into the Frogman legend, should deem it magical. So, it really shouldn’t surprise us to learn that there is some four-foot tall humanoid frog running around down there by the river.
