Justin Herbert’s Barber Needs to Be Fired, Possibly Tarred and Feathered

Justin Herbert got a haircut and boy is it bad.

I’m a big time Justin Herbert guy. Absolutely loved the pick back in the spring when the Los Angeles Chargers drafted him and made him the future of the franchise. And, it’s paid off immediately (well, at the expense of Tyrod Taylor‘s lung, but we’ve all forgotten about that by now, right?). An awful lot of pundits have Herbert pegged as the front-runner in the 2020 ‘Offensive Rookie of the Year’ race, and for good reason. Dude looks like he’s going to be a stud right out of the gate.

But, Herbert’s name took Twitter by storm yesterday when it was announced that he had indeed received a haircut. Those luscious locks were no more, and in their place was this weird creation:

Damn, pal – is that what 2-7 is doing to you? Is that what this awful season littered with close losses has made you do, Justin? All seven of the Chargers losses have been by one possession, and our boy here has obviously taken it all pretty hard.

I don’t even know what this is. Like, what in the rightful fuck do you ask for in order to receive this from your barber? It’s like a bad mix of the buzz cut and the bowl cut. “I would like a bowl cut, and then shave it with a 4 guard, please.” I saw some people making jokes about Herbert enlisting in the military, but bruh – I don’t know what branch of the armed forces dishes out cuts like that.

What was wrong with the hair he had? No one seems to be pressing Herbert on this. I know I had to cave in and get a covid cut not too long ago, but at least I was able to get something good. Surely, Herbert didn’t have to go over the edge like this.

I don’t know – maybe someone should ask if this young man is okay. Or, if he’s trying to tell us something. If the Chargers have barbers like their team doctors, then I guess this makes a little more sense…too soon, I know…but I couldn’t resist.

Regardless of where you stand on the matter, Dan Orlovsky had the best take of all of ’em yesterday:
