“Best of 2023” Week rolls on here on SoBros Network – we’ve looked at keywords, and we still have the podcasts and videos to come later this week. But, today, we’re focusing on the written word (so to speak – I guess it would technically be the “typed” word, huh?). I’ll be counting down our 10 most-read evergreen articles of 2023 (or else all 10 spots would just be dumb drinking games). These are the numbers just straight up as they are from Google Analytics, and they’re pieces that you can enjoy today just the same as you could the day they were published! Let’s dig in.

The Top 10 SoBros Articles Of 2023

10. My Experience at the US Open link – This might’ve been the piece that secured our ‘Guest Writer of the Year’ award for Xavier. I’m happy that my nephew has taken an interest in sharing his experiences and stories with the world, but I’m proud that he took the initiative to do the journalistic leg work and get this piece done. It’s one of my favorite things we’ve ever run on this website.

9. MotoAmerica: Ghetto Customs Racing’s Moto2 Inspired Machines Are Arguably The Best Looking Bikes In The Paddocklink – Ryan put together a photo gallery that the racing world truly wanted to see!

8. Nashville Reviews: Raising Cane’slink – For good reason, the people are searching for their Raising Cane’s content. The best chicken tenders in the game.

7. Travel Guide: A Weekend in Apalachicola, Florida – link – Man, I discovered one of my favorite places on Earth this year on a weekend getaway to Apalachicola. I was so inspired by it that I had to write about it. Thankfully, the internet got a hold of it and did its thing. Let’s hope SoBros Network helped to stir up the economy along the Forgotten Coast.

6. I’m Moving to Pittsburgh to Become a Vampirelink – What can I say? I just write about stuff that I think is funny and interesting, and sometimes, you guys think it’s funny and interesting too.

5. Lebanon Reviews: Snow White Drive Inlink – People stan a local legend and institution.

4. Four Restaurants That Got Bad Health Scores That I Wish You Would Give Another Shot  – link – Shout out to Owen for taking up for some of his favorite spots that popped up in the news this year and telling us why we should give ’em another shot. This piece was well-received.

3. Mount Juliet Reviews: Barrel House link – Really, it was a banner year for food reviews on SoBros Network in general. If I were to broaden my scope beyond 10 articles, you’d see plenty more food reviews in it. As for what made this one top a thousand pageviews, my best guess is that people in the area were curious about it since it took over for Catch 22.

2. Review: Broken Lizard Still Has Their Fastball With ‘Quasi’ link – So, I know this one got some love because the Broken Lizard crew shared it on their Facebook page, but I’m still pretty pumped that this thing took off for thousands of people to read. Seeing Club Dread back in 2004 was an inspiration to me. To review this movie and for it to circulate on their social media was pretty awesome.

1. ALERT: Rum Buckets Are Back at Applebee’s link – I tell the team all the time…you just never know when you’re going to write something that is going to take off for no reason. Who would’ve thought that people would so ravenously crave their Applebee’s content? With 40K pageviews, this isn’t just the most read article of 2023. It’s our most read article ever.
